Elan Kane, Communications Manager

Elan Kane is the Communications Manager at Tech:NYC, working to advance the organization’s programmatic and policy work, engage members, and raise the visibility of New York’s tech ecosystem.

Prior to joining Tech:NYC, Elan worked as a Marketing Manager at NewsGuard Technologies, where he focused on B2B and B2C marketing and communications campaigns to amplify the company’s international profile, increase commercial sales, and raise brand awareness. Elan previously worked as the program coordinator on the Google News Initiative’s startups team, and was the Senior Manager of Communications at The Jewish Theological Seminary for four years.

Elan received his master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University.
