Matt is Managing Partner and Co-founder of Contour Venture Partners, a pioneering seed stage venture capital fund with a focus on New York City that has helped to grow the ecosystem since 2005. Matt is passionate about helping to build early stage companies in the Financial Services, Enterprise SaaS and B2B SaaS sectors. Matt was previously part of the launch team at Promontory Interfinancial Network and before that worked at Red Hat. His investments include Bounce Exchange, Datadog, Ellevest, Fevo, LeagueApps, Movable Ink, Octane Lending, OnDeck, Pendo, Routehappy, ShopKeep, SmartAsset, SwapDrive, Ticketfly, YellowJacket and Yhat.

Matt also founded StreetWise Partners, a nonprofit with operations in NYC, DC and Detroit, which provides low-income individuals with a path to a successful career through mentoring, job skills and professional experience.

Matt received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and B.A. in Economics and American Studies from Brandeis University, where he was co-captain of the tennis team.
